A taste of Bollywood

Share post:

Bollywood came to the Holders stage last Saturday night with music, dance and song representing the Indian subcontinent taking pride of place during the 21st Virgin Atlantic Holders Season.
Rana Mohip of Trinidad and Tobago, along with his wife Susan, the Sangeet Mahavidyalaya dancers and the Watertech Sargam International Orchestra, took Holders’ patrons on a cultural trip through India that drew repeated applause from an audience clearly delighted at being treated to another dimension of entertainment at the popular annual event.
The packed house stood at attention as the strains of the Barbados National Anthem wafted through the air of the outdoor garden theatre, signalling the beginning of the night’s programme.
Holders continues to be the place where aspiring artistes are given a stage to showcase their talent to an international audience. The young Barbadian group Operation Triple Threat had that opportunity, after getting a resounding “yes” from producer of the Holders Season, Wendy Kidd, who had been invited to one of their rehearsals.
