THEY DON’T GET THEM every year, but recently residents at a President Kennedy Drive, St Michael property have been reaping clusters of table grapes.

The usually imported berry can be found growing around the island, though not plentiful, and the St Michael location is one such place.

Sheena Baxter said the vine, purchased from the Soil Conservation Unit, first bore fruit in 2010 and then began bearing again late last year and into this year.

“We don’t water it or anything; we just leave it there,” she said, adding that the fruits were often given away to anyone who asked for them.
