United States President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump tested positive for COVID-19, he said in a tweet early on Friday.

“We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately,” he said.

On Thursday, it was announced that one of the president’s aides, Hope Hicks, tested positive for the virus.

She travelled with Trump and other White House staffers to the presidential debate in Ohio on Tuesday and developed symptoms the following day. (Reuters/CNN)
