Another relative of the housekeeper who tested positive for novel coronavirus (COVID-19) on September 30 has been diagnosed with the viral illness.

He is a 12-year-old student of Ellerslie Secondary School and the great great nephew of the housekeeper, who was confirmed with the virus after her employer returned from the United Kingdom and was positive for COVID-19 after a second test.

Six members of the housekeeper’s family have now joined her in isolation at Harrison Point, St. Lucy.

The child’s positive result was the only positive among 221 tests done by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory yesterday.

The total number of people confirmed with COVID-19 in Barbados has reached 200. Recoveries remain at 182 since no one was discharged from isolation today. Eleven people are now in isolation.

The public health laboratory has completed 24 849 tests.

Seven people have died. (BGIS)
