Starting on Tuesday, the Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. will host a series of sensitisation workshops designed to help tourism stakeholders become acquainted with the new travel and entry protocols as well as safety requirements.

The workshops will be held at the Gymnasium of the Garfield Sobers Sports Complex.

The first session targeted at transportation operators will be held on Tuesday, from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

A Barbados Government Information Service statement said that on Wednesday, October 7, from 9:30 a.m. to noon, the workshop will cater to receptionists, front of house staff, employees in guest services, customer experience, conference facilities and attractions, in addition to bar and restaurant operators.

The afternoon session on Wednesday, which runs from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., is for people who work in housekeeping and maintenance, gardeners, pool attendants, laundry attendants, public facility cleaners, spa staff and all ancillary staff.

People who work in these areas but are unable to attend on Wednesday, will get the opportunity to attend on Thursday, October 8, from 9:30 a.m. to noon when that workshop will be repeated.

The final session on Thursday will run from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. for water sports operators, jet ski operators, lifeguards, dive shop operators, leisure craft operators and beach vendors. (BGIS)
