The St Philip Polyclinic in Six Roads, St Philip was closed on Thursday, October 8.

A media statement from the Ministry of Health and Wellness said the closure was done to facilitate industrial cleaning on October 8 and 9.

Christian Rock, Industrial Relations Officer, National Union of Public Workers (NUPW), told Nation News it was a prolonged situation in relation to cleaning of the polyclinic and some staff complained about health-related issues.

Delcia Burke, NUPW acting general secretary, who spoke on Starcom Network, said there were concerns related to mould and that the polyclinic could not be properly cleaned by one maid. (KG)
