Update: Murder accused remanded

Gabriel Shando Hayde, an unemployed 23-year-old of Colleton, St John, appeared at District ‘C’ Magistrates’ Court today and was remanded until November 10. Hayde has been charged with a number of offences, including two of murder.

He is charged with:

The murder Kerwin Howell on February 16, 2020.

The murder of Roger Moore on August 18, 2020.

Possession of a .40 firearm on October 4, 2020.

Possession of 23 rounds of ammunition on October 4, 2020.

Possession of cannabis on October 4, 2020.

Trafficking of cannabis on October 4, 2020.

Intent to supply cannabis on October 4, 2020

Dishonestly receiving one motorcar belonging to Tonisha Layne Crichlow knowing or believing the car to be stolen, between September 25 and October 4, 2020.

A statement from police said Hayde “appeared at the District ‘C’ Magistrates’ Court before Magistrate Elwood Watts where he was not required to plead to the indictable offences and was not granted bail on those offences”.

“He, however, pleaded not guilty to the drug charges. He was remanded into custody to Her Majesty’s Prisons Dodds and is scheduled to reappear at the said court on November 10, 2020 relative to the drug charges.” (PR)
