This novel 12-part video series tracks the entrepreneurial journeys of 12 Barbadian Women who successfully transitioned their passion projects into businesses.

These stories share experiences on developing a business in Barbados at a time when economic uncertainty forced many to think about how they can do the same.  Owner of Pivot Productions, the producers of The Pivot Series, Kelly Johnally describes the series as one for this season.

“Each story is different and reflects the varied stages in the entrepreneurial journey. Along with giving insights into how they started, there is a level of vulnerability that is honest and refreshing. Quite often we see the pinnacles of success, the ‘Instagram moments’ but these women also talk about the lows, and I think many people will be able to identify with that and learn from their experiences.

“At a time where people are being forced to get creative and take risks, it is important that Barbadian business people and, by extension, those in the Caribbean share their professional experience, to educate and encourage others.”

The Pivot Series and related content can be viewed on the Nation’s suite of digital channels. These comprise www.nationnews.com, Facebook The Nation Barbados, Instagram @nation246 and The Nation Barbados on YouTube.

“It was important to us that those featured, and our advertising partners benefit from the widest and most engaged digital audience, so we are very pleased to partner with the Nation for the effective distribution of the Series.”

The series, hosted by Gaynelle Marshall and recorded by Nathaniel Gunby, starts in October and is the first installment of content produced by Pivot Productions. Viewers will have an opportunity to win prizes and nominate the final entrepreneur to be interviewed in the season.
