Jonathan Carter kept his nerve and guided Sagicor UWI to a hard-fought four-wicket victory over a resilient Wildey for a semi-final place in a tense Barbados Cricket Association T20 Cup quarter-final clash at the 3Ws Oval yesterday.

Faced with a modest target of 109, UWI were wobbly at 41 for four and then 68 for six, with Wildey making them fight every inch of the way.

The experienced Carter kept cool under the pressure and found an ally in Romario Greaves, the two taking UWI home with an unbroken seventh-wicket stand of 41.

Carter lashed an unbeaten 48 off 42 balls with two fours and three sixes while Greaves finished with 22 off 24 balls.
