A small craft advisory will be in effect for Barbados for above normal swells from 6 p.m. Monday to 6 p.m. Tuesday.
Swells are forecast to be moderate to rough in open water, ranging from 2.5 to 3.0 meters (8 to 10 ft) and increasing.
All marine craft operators and beachgoers should note the possibility of large open water swells which can be hazardous to some vessels, especially smaller craft, along the eastern coast and near shore.
A small-craft advisory is issued when sea swells of 2.5 to 3.0 metres (8 to 10 feet) are forecast to affect the marine area within the next 36 hours. (PR/SAT)
