14-year-old visitor tests positive for COVID

A 14-year-old female visitor is the latest person to test positive for COVID-19, out of the 311 tests performed by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory.

The girl, who is asymptomatic, arrived in Barbados on October 19 on British Airways, and is a contact of a previously confirmed case, diagnosed on October 23.

No one will be released from isolation today.  The confirmed cases are now 236 – 125 females and 111 males – with ten now in isolation. There were 218 recoveries and seven deaths.

To date, the laboratory has completed 34 998 tests. (BGIS)
