He came, he saw and he conquered.

American driver Ken Block and co-driver Alex Gelsomino defied the odds and drove away with the Sol Rally Barbados 2020 title.

On a weekend of fluctuating fortunes for the top-class pairs, Block and Gelsomino, driving a well prepared Ford Performance/Monster Energy/Hoonigan Racing Ford Fiesta Rally2, returned a time of 56 minutes, 03.19 seconds to take the title in a day in which the overall lead changed several times.

Early second-day leader, Britain’s Rob Swann and his Welsh co-driver Darren Garrod, in the Blue Sky Luxury/Marriott All-Inclusive raswann.co.uk Ford Fiesta WRC, after appearing to tighten their grip on the proceedings, went wide on the wet and muddy Special Automotive Art Mount Brevitor to Four Hills Stage 11 with its 4.40-kilometre layout.
