INJURED West Indies cricketer Shaquana Quintyne is among six new members appointed to the board of management of the National Sports Council. (NSC).

Quintyne, 24, is the youngest member on the board, which was recently installed by new Minister of Sport Dwight Sutherland after he took over the sports portfolio from his Cabinet colleague, John King.

She is completing training at the National Academy of Sports Medicine while recuperating from knee surgery, which has sidelined her for the past four years.

A qualified coach, Quintyne was a member of the triumphant West Indies team at the 2016 ICC Women World T20 Tournament.
