Government has received a request for assistance from a cruise ship.

A statement from Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. said the request was made today and it is suspected that there are positive cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) on board.

The vessel, carrying 53 passengers and 68 crew, is set to arrive tonight, and will be met by Ministry of Health and Wellness officials who will evaluate the situation and respond to requests for assistance. (PR)
