The Barbados Labour Party’s (BLP) celebratory motorcade is underway in St George North.

BLP candidate Toni Moore won convincingly in the by-election on Wednesday and she took to the streets today in order to thank supporters.

The motorcade started from The Glebe market in St George and included Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley, BLP members, hundreds of supporters and former representative of St George North Gline Clarke.

Two additional coaches had to be ordered to accommodate the large crowd, while following COVID-19 protocols. In the meantime, some of the supporters had to be left behind temporarily.

The motorcade also caused traffic congestion. (CA)
