Former Ellerslie schoolboy Shaquan Henry knocked out No. 3 seed Marson Johnson when the Goddard’s Sports & Cultural Club This Is Who We Are Road Tennis Championship continued on Saturday night at the Hanschell Inniss car park, Fontabelle.

On a long, drawn-out fixture that saw 16 matches being played and the last ending just before midnight, Henry provided samples of his attacking arsenal as he blocked Johnson 21-11, 21-13.

Darius “Baracus” Gaskin took just four minutes and 30 seconds to dismantle Anthony Harris in their second game, winning the match 21-17, 21-3. The elegant Dario Hinds proved his ranking at No. 4 by outplaying Corey Mayers 21-19, 21-8.

One of the most entertaining matches of the night saw former Barbados road tennis president John “John Wick” Chandler flog Alexander “Fyah” Clarke 21-16, 21-16. (KB)
