A 24-year-old man is the latest person to be diagnosed with COVID-19.
He arrived from Jamaica on a Caribbean Airlines flight on November 14, and returned a positive result after undergoing a second test two days later.
He was asymptomatic, but was isolated and under investigation at Harrison’s Point, St Lucy, since November 17. He is one of 12 people in isolation and no one will be released today.
The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory conducted 384 tests yesterday. The number of confirmed cases stands at 260, comprising 136 females and 124 males. There were 241 recoveries and seven deaths.
To date, the laboratory has completed 44 868 tests. (BGIS)
