Statue of Sir Wesley Hall unveiled

History was created today when a statue of Sir Wesley Winfield Hall was unveiled outside Kensington Oval, next to that of National Hero Sir Garfield Sobers.

The ceremony to honour Sir Wes, now 83, was attended by Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley and members of the cricketing fraternity.

Sir Wes, one the greatest fast bowlers of all time, during an address, said “God is Good” and expressed thanks to Mottley, friend Sir Garry and others who attended the ceremony and congratulated him. (KG)
