Justice Reifer appointed to Court of Appeal

Justice Margaret Reifer was sworn in as Justice of Appeal on Tuesday.

During a short ceremony at Government House, Justice of Appeal Reifer took an oath before Governor General Dame Sandra Mason and in the presence of Chief Justice Sir Patterson Cheltenham.

She was expected to officially begin duties today.

Justice of Appeal Reifer, an attorney at the private bar for 23 years, had been a High Court judge since 2005 but had also acted as Justice of Appeal at various times over a two-year period, starting in January 2018. (TG)
