Two new cases, two people recover

Two more visitors have been diagnosed with novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

They are a 25-year-old female, who came in on an American Airlines flight on November 30; and a 56-year-old male visitor, who arrived via Jet Blue on December 1. Both were asymptomatic and tested positive on their second tests.

Those were the only positive cases identified among the 406 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Laboratory yesterday. The latest cases have moved the number of confirmed cases to 281 – 145 females and 136 males.

Meanwhile, two people will leave isolation today, bringing the total number of recoveries to 257.  There are now 17 people in isolation.

Seven people have died.

To date, the laboratory has conducted 48 582 tests. (BGIS)
