The Vector Control Unit of the Ministry of Health and Wellness will continue its fogging exercise this week in St Michael and St James.
On Monday, the team will focus on the parish of St James in Waterhall, Waterhall Terrace, Povi Avenue, St Silas, St Silas Heights with Avenues, and environs.
From Tuesday to Friday, the fogging team will concentrate on several communities in St Michael. The areas to be fogged on Tuesday are Passage Road, Alleyne’s Land, Strathclyde with Avenues, Peterkins Land with Avenues, Eagle Hall, Jubilee Gap, Waterloo Gardens, Barbarees Hill, Brewsters Road, Thomas Gap with Avenues, Westbury Road, President Kennedy Drive, and surrounding areas.
On Wednesday, the exercise will move to Pine Road, Belleville with Avenues, Belmont Road, George Street, Stevenson Land, Bannister Land, Campaign Land, Martindales Road, Halls Road, Marl Hole, Train Line Road, Carrington Village, Alkins Road, Quakers Road, Chase Road, and environs.
The areas to be fogged on Thursday are Tweedside Road, Nurse Land with Avenues, Grosvenor Road, Baycroft Road, Goddard Road, School Road, Gully Hill, Bridge Road, Bank Hall Cross Road, Gilkes Land, Sealy Land with Avenues, Buckingham Road, Queen Victoria Road, King George Road, Barracks Road, Mansion Road and surrounding districts.
The fogging team will spray Stadium Road, Spooners Hill, Butlers Avenue, Paradise Road, Syndicate Rad, Stuarts Road, Ellis Road, Pioneer Road, Civilian Road, Bush Hall Yard Gap, Accommodation Road, Military Road, Perfection Road, Tull Land, Review Road, and environs on Friday.
Fogging takes place between 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. each day and householders are reminded to open their windows and doors to allow the spray to enter.
The public is asked to note that the completion of the scheduled fogging activities may be affected by events beyond the control of the Vector Control Unit. In such circumstances, the Unit will return to affected communities as soon as possible. (BGIS)
