Priest: Prepare for the uncertain

A cleric is urging people who are overcome by grief because of the sudden death of a loved one, to prepare for the uncertainty of life.

Reverend Graveney Bannister told the congregation at St Clement’s Anglican Church yesterday that true comfort came in facing the truth.

He was speaking during the funeral service of 21-year-old Yohance Johnson, of Pie Corner, St Lucy, who tragically lost his life when flood waters forced the vehicle in which he was a passenger into a ravine at Lamberts, St Lucy on November 14.

The car was driven by Johnson’s best friend 23-year-old Devron Kellman, of Cave Hill Drive, also in St Lucy and while Kellman escaped, Johnson was washed a mile away into a gully in Date Tree Hill, St Peter. (RA)
