Two more visitors have tested positive for novel coronavirus (COVID-19), after undergoing second tests.

They are a 30-year-old woman, and a 27-year-old man. Both arrived on the island via American Airlines on December 2, and December 3, respectively. They were asymptomatic.

They were the only positive cases identified out of the 450 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory on Saturday.

As a result, confirmed cases now stand at 287 – 148 females and 139 males. There are now 20 people in isolation, as no one was released yesterday.

Seven people have died.

To date, the laboratory has conducted 49 757 tests. (BGIS)
