Two more positive cases

A Barbadian woman and a male visitor returned positive results for COVID-19 on Friday, out of the 871 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory.

The 20-year-old visitor arrived on Caribbean Airlines on December 4, while the 35-year-old Barbadian came in on American Airlines on December 10. They were both asymptomatic, and tested positive on their second tests.

Meanwhile, one person was released from isolation yesterday. As a result, there are 17 persons in isolation.

Barbados has now recorded 294 cases, comprising 153 females and 141 males. To date, there have been 270 recoveries.

Seven people have died.

The public health laboratory has completed 53 732 tests. (BGIS)
