Water park woes

A group of concerned Brandons, St Michael beachgoers are not satisfied that enough was done to inform the public about Rascals Water Park Inc.

They believe the park, installed late last month, has intruded on prime beach space, which affected their use of the area.

They do not only want the park shifted but they also believe Government should fully scrutinise the company’s future development plans.

However, team leader and operator of Rascals Water Park, Robert Myers, maintained that all operations had been done above board.

Around 8:30 a.m., yesterday, about ten beachgoers who live in Black Rock and surrounding communities including former Cabinet minister and senator, Maxine McClean, and former representative for St Michael West Central, James Paul, gathered at Brandons Beach, where they voiced their concerns. (TG)

The group of concerned beachgoers said they wanted the water park to be shifted to the right, directly in front of the Rascals Restaurant.
