The man who was shot and killed on Monday night was identified as Canute Ward, 36 years, formerly of Darrell’s Hill, St Michael.
According to police, Ward’s body was discovered on a pathway at Miller’s Road, Farm Road, St Peter, after receiving a report of gunshots in the area.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
It was the 38th murder for 2020.
