Members of the Barbados Equestrian Association have two more things to smile about this year, after emerging as victors against their regional neighbours in show jumping and dressage.
While COVID-19 altered the way in which the local equestrians were judged, United States-based Heather Stalker logged in via an online platform to score the riders in this year’s Caribbean Equestrian Association’s (CEA) Regional Dressage Challenge.
Despite the challenges however, local veteran riders Roberta Foster, Mackenzie Manning and Candace Jones strode away from Trinidad and Tobago, Bermuda and the Cayman Islands, with a combined score of 209.150 in dressage.
Foster, who began competing at the Intermediate 2 level this year, and her mount Chichic, scored 69.88 per cent, with an added bonus for level of difficulty. (RA)
