Champion trainer Victor Cheeseman, who is pursuing an eighth title, has entered a whopping 24 horses for Boxing Day.
Going into the Barbados Turf Club’s final day of its third season, Cheeseman is hot on the heels of the leader Liz Deane.
Deane, who turns for home with a lead of $10 758, will send out ten starters. However, she appears to be under pressure to keep up her momentum.
Deane saddled seven winners and has bankrolled $267 983 to Cheeseman’s nine successes, which have netted him $257 225.
The title of champion trainer is decided by purse and not wins. (LY)
