A 22-YEAR-OLD man gunned down on Wednesday night may not have been the intended target.

This is according to some residents of Headley Land, Bank Hall, St Michael, after Tarik Straker, of Long Gap, Spooners Hill, also in St Michael, was shot and killed.

His homicide was the 39th for the year.

Police reported that around 7:20 p.m. they responded after an anonymous caller told them about loud explosions heard in the area.

When they arrived, they saw Straker lying on a small pasture in Headley Land.

Yesterday, most residents were tight-lipped about the incident while others said they did not know the young man, because he did not live in the area. (TG)
