Lawmen at Hastings Worthing Police Station are investigating the shooting death of Mekail Zeco Alonzo Harding, 27, of Williams Road, Upper Collymore Rock, St Michael.
Harding was shot after 9 p.m. on Tuesday at Williams Road.
According to a statement, around 9:30 p.m., police received a report of a man being shot and injured.
On arrival, police learnt that Harding was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) by private vehicle.
Harding was pronounced dead on arrival at the QEH.
