Government has adjusted the curfew imposed on December 31, 2020. Effective January 2, the curfew will be imposed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. for the next seven days.

Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley made this announcement a short while ago during a live press conference at Ilaro Court.

Mottley also said there are to be no banquets, fetes or limes.

The press conference was held to give an update on the testing of prison officers after it was announced on Thursday that two of them had tested positive for COVID-19.

The number of prison officers testing positive has since increased. All prison officers will be tested by tomorrow morning and aggressive contact tracing is being undertaken. (KG)
