Businesses continued to close yesterday as a fallout of a “super spreader” event held on Boxing Day which has seen nearly 200 positive COVID-19 cases recorded in 48 hours.

Some workers have tested positive, while others are awaiting results.

West Bar at Limegrove Lifestyle Centre in Holetown, St James, posted on its social media page that three of its staff, while asymptomatic, had the virus and were at the Harrison Point isolation facility in St Lucy. As a result, the others, though testing negative, would continue to self-quarantine until the results of a second test to be conducted over the next two days, are known.

“We would like to send prayers and positive thoughts to the affected three members of our team and to their families . . . ,” the post stated. (RA)
