Police and the Covid-19 Monitoring Unit were called in to expel two people who were not following the protocols at Hilton Barbados.

A source at the luxury hotel said the recently signed in guests refused to stay in their rooms and were in breach of a number of the protocols for those in quarantine.

Contrary to circulating social media messages that tourists were upset because of the number of people quarantining there, the source said that was “absolutely not so” and neither did the hotel try to detain anyone from leaving.

Hilton is one of the hotel listed by authorities as a quarantine facility for Barbadians and visitors. (AC)
