There was chaos at the Randall Phillips Polyclinic earlier today as a huge crowd, including people waiting to be tested for COVID-19, descended on the Christ Church health facility.

An upset woman told the Nation News that the officials opened the doors way after 10 a.m. and by that time, people were already “jumbled up” on the outside waiting to get in.

She said security personnel ordered them to line up and take numbers.

When a NATION team visited the polyclinic there was still a long but orderly line on the outside.

However persons were grumbling about the length of time it was taking for them to get in.

One man said it was the second consecutive day that he had met a crowd there.

“’Nuff people was out here yesterday and I left and come back today and it is the same thing,” he cried while another man lamented having to stand in the sun for several hours.

Faced with three employees and a patient testing positive for COVID-19, the Queen Elizabeth Hospital appealed to the public not to visit that institution unless absolutely necessary. That has forced several people to rush to the polyclinics. (MB)
