Visitors feeling pinch due to test result delays

Some hotel guests are being quarantined longer than expected and are finding it difficult to meet their expenses as a result.

Guests staying at more than one Government-authorised quarantine hotel told the Sunday Sun that they were on the brink of exhausting their budgets because of living expenses.

They said the time it took to get COVID-19 test results was at the root of the problem and hotel management should be more understanding and accommodating.

Andrea Carpenter, a registered nurse visiting from the United Kingdom, is quarantining at the All Seasons Resort in St James. She said she was so upset that she would not return to the island. (SB)
