Theodore Tudor was found not guilty of rape when his trial concluded in the No. 5A Supreme Court on Friday.

Tudor, then 17, of Westbury Road, St Michael, had denied having unlawful sexual intercourse with a 13-year-old girl on December 29, 2003.

The verdict came after a submission by defence attorney Rita Evans at the end of the prosecution’s case was upheld by Justice Christopher Birch.

The judge instructed the nine-member jury to return a formal verdict of not guilty and told Tudor he was free to go.  (HLE)
