The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security has advised that the Glebe Market at The Glebe, St George, has been closed.

“With immediate effect, we have temporarily closed the market at Glebe out of an abundance of caution. One of the vendors there recently tested positive for COVID-19 and, in keeping with the recommended protocols of the Ministry of Health and Wellness, the market is undergoing a thorough sanitisation procedure,” manager of markets, Sherlock King, said.

King said he anticipates that the market will reopen in a few days.

“We are taking this time to close as a precaution while all staff and vendors are tested and the Glebe Market is fully sanitised,” the manager said. (BGIS)
