If the Alliance Owners of Public Transport (AOPT) gets its way, a state-of-the-art terminal would be built in Warrens, St Michael.

Yesterday, in a press conference, chairman Roy Raphael announced that the area was fast becoming a town and the alliance saw an opportunity to offer more services in the creation of new routes if a terminal was established there.

“We will again be working very closely with the Transport Authority, the Ministry of Transport and stakeholders sometime soon,” he said. “We will be taking a tour to Warrens to identify a spot. We want to speak to the ministry about getting a terminal at Warrens; it is very critical.

“Once Government gives us the go-ahead, we will put together our own terminal,” said Raphael. (SB)
