Toppin: Pride still have a chance

BARBADOS PRIDE head coach Dexter Toppin is still hopeful that his side can reach the semi-finals of the West Indies Super50 Cup taking place in Antigua.

The Pride stumbled to successive defeats in their first two matches and will need to win their three remaining preliminary matches to come within a sniff of a place in the final four of the competition.

Pride slumped to a 56-run defeat under the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern Method against current leaders Guyana Jaguars in their tournament opener last Monday at the Coolidge Cricket Ground, where they lost their second match two days later against hosts Leeward Islands Hurricanes by four wickets.

The road to revival for the Pride will begin today at the Vivian Richards Cricket Ground, but it will not be easy. (AR)
