Two Tobagonian fishermen were remanded to HMP Dodds this morning.

Anton James, 26, of Golden Lane, Seaview, and Krysten Trim, 35, of Bon Accord Main Road, both in Tobago, were not required to plead to the indictable charges that they were in possession of, and did import 426.92 pounds of marijuana, with intent to supply and traffick the illegal drug.

Prosecutor Constable Kenmore Phillips objected to bail on the high quantity of drugs which carried a street value of $774 600, and the men being non-nationals with no ties to Barbados.

James and Trim will reappear before Chief Magistrate Ian Weekes on March 19 in Court No. 1 of the District “A” Magistrates’ Court. (RA)
