The safety of a vaccine is determined over multiple phases of human trials. Those trials were all completed in December and the Covishield vaccine, which was developed by Oxford-AstraZeneca, was approved as safe and effective, this according to Immunologist and Chair of The UWI COVID-19 Task Force, Professor Clive Landis.
