The Barbados Defence Force soldier charged in connection with the death of a fellow soldier was released on bail when he appeared in the District “A” Traffic Court today.

Renico Amal Grandison, of Proute Hill, St Thomas, was not required to plead to unlawfully killing Pablo Kinch on April 6 last year.

The incident occurred at the base of the Police’s Tactical Response Unit at District “A” Station.

Magistrate Alison Burke released the accused with a surety of $50 000 and confiscated his passport.

The magistrate further ordered him to report to the Glebe Police Station every Tuesday by 10 a.m., and adjourned the matter until March 31. (HLE)
