For admitting to causing a row in his Christ Church neighbourhood while on probation, a 15-year-old student was remanded to the Government Industrial School and will be sentenced later this month.

The student, along with Rodiqueo Romario Boyce, a 16-year-old student, of Lot 3 Cane Vale; Imani St Aubyn Austin, a 16-year-old student, of Lot 307 Crystal Crescent, Kingsland; Shamari Tyrik Deshawn Agard, 17 and unemployed, of Lot 308 Crystal Crescent, Kingsland Terrace, denied that they used unlawful conduct towards each other, and their conduct was such to cause a person of reasonable firmness present at the scene to fear for the other person’s safety on February 27.

The 15-year-old boy and Boyce both admitted on Monday in the District “C” Magistrates’ Court to contravening Paragraph 4 Sub-paragraph 1 of the Emergency Management (COVID-19) (Curfew) (No. 4) Directive, 2021, that there being a directive requiring every person to observe such physical distancing and associated protocols in the interest of public health imposed in the island of Barbados from February 18 to 28, 2021, they failed to comply by leaving their residence when not authorised to do so, on the same date.
