An accident in St John caused a temporary traffic diversion earlier today.

Earl Gibson, 82, of Edgecliff, St John was driving along Bath Land, heading along Coach Hill, when he was involved in a collision with a large Ministry of Transport and Works truck carrying an excavator on a trailer.

Gibson’s car was wedged between the trailer and the sidewalk and traffic was temporarily diverted.

Gibson complained of pain to his right leg and said he would seek private medical attention. The driver of the truck did not reveal his name. (CA)
