New British High Commissioner by April

Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean will soon have a new British High Commissioner.

He is Scott Furssedonn-Wood, who will be resident in Barbados and serve as non-resident High Commissioner to Dominica, Grenada, Antigua & Barbuda, St Vincent & the Grenadines, St Lucia and St Christopher & Nevis.

He succeeds Janet Douglas CMG who will be retiring from the Diplomatic Service.

Furssedonn-Wood, who will take up his appointment in April 2021, has been serving as deputy private secretary to Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall since 2017.

He joined the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office in 2000. He is married and has three children. (PR/SAT)
