15 new virus cases, 32 people recover

Fifteen people tested positive for novel coronavirus (COVID-19) on Monday, March 22, from the 402 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory. They comprise seven men and eight women.

Thirty-two people recovered and were discharged from isolation. There are currently 160 cases in isolation.

There have been 3 574 confirmed cases recorded – 1 712 females and 1 862 males – and 3 390 people have recovered since March 2020.  There have been 40 deaths related to COVID-19.

The public health laboratory has so far completed 137 126 tests.

Nine people were vaccinated on Monday, as part of the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19.

To date 61 781 vaccinations have been administered – 25 751 men and 36 030 women. (BGIS)
