President of the National Union of Public Workers, Akanni McDowall, and head of Unity Workers Union, Caswell Franklyn, are meeting with some staff of the National Insurance Department who walked off the job on Tuesday afternoon.

The workers are complaining about a number of grievances, including their current working arrangements.

Some staff members, however, said a recent positive COVID-19 diagnosis, which they found out about on social media, kicked off the latest action.  (TG)
