11 new virus cases, 3 people recover

The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory identified 11 new positive cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) on Wednesday, March 24, from among 755 tests. They comprise four women and seven men.

Three people recovered from the viral illness and were discharged from isolation. There are currently 160 cases in isolation.

Barbados has recorded 3 593 confirmed cases – 1 722 women and 1 871 men – and 3 404 people have recovered since March 2020.

COVID-19 has claimed 40 lives.

The public health laboratory has so far completed 138 322 tests.

No vaccinations were recorded on Wednesday for the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19. (BGIS)
