Police investigating shooting death

Lawmen are investigating the death of a 22-year-old man.

Officers are on the scene along Sugar Hill Main Road, Sugar Hill St Joseph, where the incident was reported to have occurred around 7 p.m. today.

The man is a Guyanese national who lived in the area.

“A group of men were liming in the area when at least two other men passed by and opened fire on them. The deceased fell to the ground where he was later pronounced dead at the scene,” a statement from police said.

Police investigations are ongoing. (PR)
