All COVID-19 vaccinations have been temporarily suspended until further notice, due to the ashfall from the La Soufriere volcano in St Vincent and the Grenadines, which has been affecting Barbados.

Co-coordinator of the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, Major David Clarke, said the Ministry of Health and Wellness’ Immunisation Unit would inform people with appointments as to when the administration of first doses of the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine would resume.

The ministry thanks members of the public for their understanding and co-operation. (BGIS)
